NZMuseums

This site provides all museums in New Zealand the opportunity to have a stong presence on the web, including the several hundred small, mainly volunteer run, museums. A Web based collections management system underlies the Web site for contributors without an existing CMS. With minimal effort, contributors can showcase highlights from their collections.

The public are engaged through tagging and commenting options. National Services Te Paerangi, a division of the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, provide support and advise to New Zealand museums. The new site gives them the tools to post news and blog articles and write features on specific museums.
