Submit your app or mobile website to the MW2011 Mobile Crit Room!
We're looking for four apps and/or mobile websites to be subjected to the new Mobile Crit Room at Museums and the Web 2011. Your app or site will be analysed and critiqued by a panel of four critics – Nancy Proctor (Smithsonian), Charles Outhier (Museums2go), Seb Chan (Powerhouse) and Peter Samis (SFMOMA).
We are looking for a good representation of genres (gallery tour, collection browser, mobile game, augmented reality etc) and platforms (iPhone, iPad, mobile web/html5, and Android) and we will be selecting from the submissions to ensure that we cover that variety if at all possible.
To suggest your site, please leave a comment here, or contact us.
You will need to come prepared to speak for a few minutes about your App/site and answer critical questions from the panel about it. Each site will get 30 minutes of criticism.
We will be able to project the App/site running natively on a device during the session.
Please note: if your App is a paid app then you will need to provide FOUR free codes for download prior to the crit room to the panelists. If your App is not available in the store then you will need to provide the IPA file etc. And if your App needs to be in a specific location to work (especially AR ones), then please ensure that the critics can use a developer version with the locations set/fixed etc.
