This is the conference that I mentioned during the research meeting that Darren organized Friday lunchtime. I've gone for the past few years, and have generally found it to be very interesting. It's interdisciplinary, lively, sometimes chaotic, and always thought-provoking. Here's their website, and you can get pdfs of the most recent conferences' abstracts here, which should give you some idea of the range of topics that are covered.

Anyway: would anyone be interested in taking part in a panel on museums, libraries, the web, social technologies, etc? The deadline for submissions is April 3 (although effectively it is April 1 as I am away after that). If I submit a panel proposal, all I need from you is your name and affiliation. You will however be required to submit an abstract to the 4S site before April 3.

There are no published proceedings - so you can show up with just slides/notes if you want. However it's a very good place to test out 'works in progress.'

So let me know, and reply to this thread, if you would be interested in being on a panel there. I'm going anyway!
