Hi Tom,
All requests for accounts are reviewed by a real person (right now me) to make sure that they are 'real' and not the product of someone being paid abysmally badly to post spam. Believe it or not, spam accounts are sometimes ~50% of requests. If there's a bit of a delay, it's because i'm not always on-line. Sorry for the wait.
I moved your comment to the Discussion for MW on-line, so that it's in an appropriate topic thread. Thanks for posting.

Has taken me a while to find my way around this, and I'm still a bit confused by it all... Seems to be a cross between a message board and blog space, right?

hey frankie - thanks for your feedback. i hope you're getting the feel of what we could do here -- you're right when you say it's part communal (discussions), part personal (blogs).
one question -- formatting options where? in the embedded editor? on the pages themselves?
I was thinking that the 3 formatting options on blog comments (WikiText/Book Review/tinymce) seemed a bit confusing and overkill for blog comments (took me a while to realise that tinymce was the rich text editor).

would you be ok with just the rich text editor? i'm thinking about dropping the others out. i know i can't write in 'wikitext', but don't know how others feel.
I look forward to exploring the site as a new member and allowing this medium to influence my design approach as a 3d exhibit designer....as well as absorbing as much as I can at the upcoming conference.

Oh and there's far too many formatting options!
