Job: Web Content/Social Media Coordinator: Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art

The Web Content/Social Media Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining an effective web communication presence by assuring information on the official website is current, accurate, and compelling; producing and distributing e-communications; responding to inquiries via the web in a timely manner; ensuring the users’ needs are met; developing and maintaining a presence for the Museum on social networking platforms; and serving as liaison between the Museum and interactive agency of record for programming changes and updates.  This position will also assist with website development as needed.

Principle Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Read, respond and/or redirect daily inquiries via the website from media, art professionals, and general public
• Serve as central source for data entry and editing of programs, news and information
• Review and manage website content for relevance and timeliness
• Coordinate monthly updates with interactive agency of record and serve as liaison between museum staff and agency when website issues arise
• Update variety of web content, including blogs and multimedia content, through web-based tools
• Produce and distribute electronic newsletters and other electronic communications
• Assist with website development
• Develop and maintain presence for the Museum on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, and other emerging social networking platforms
• Partner with associates to ensure affiliated sites are compelling and current
• Work with internal staff to ensure satisfaction with project-related web communication
• Track and analyze web traffic
• Other duties, as needed
