Closing Plenary - links
Thanks to everyone who helped explore web2.0 in the closing plenary. There's so much possibility! Here's a link to the powerpoint from yesterday's plenary -- we'll get the list of sites up in a more useful manner soon. But for now, if you view the slideshow, the links will be live. I'll encourage the other presenters to post their links in this thread. thanks also to everyone for making MW2006 so much fun - and the source of so many good ideas.

Best of the Web book
OK team - who is running the book on the short-priced favourites for tonight's winners?
Good luck everyone!
We mentioned this in our workshop
During our workshop on blogs and blogging for museums we showed a site for artists-in-residence at the Walker which combined blogs for artists and our CMS managed content. We just pushed that site live so feel free to visit and give a shout out if you have any questions about it.
Unofficial Informal Gathering
Hello there is a change of plans. The Distillery is no fun so we went to Maloney's Tavern on 4th and Central instead. They have amazing booths, great beer on tap (from the New Belgian Brewery) and it's cheap.
See you there.
Informal Unofficial Gathering.
Unofficial announcement time...
The guys from the Walker are meeting at the Distillery on Central (near 4th). It's two blocks south of the Hyatt. We'd love to chill with more Museums and the Web people so come on over.

Broadband Accessibility Presentation
For those who attended our presentation on the implications of broadband content for accessibility (and for those who didn't!) I've attached the Powerpoint presentation slides to this story.
You can also follow these links to the examples of broadband content with accessibility features that we showed:
Thankyou!
Thanks to whoever found and handed in my camera to the registration booth. Apart from the cost of replacement I'm meeting relatives for dinner tonight, some of whom I have never met and it would have been really sad not to have the camera...
Live blogging.
If anyone is interested I'm live blogging my notes on the Walker New Media blog.
Dinner Wednesday
Dinner was great, with Jim, Kevin, Ken, Bryan, and Shiree. We went to the Artichoke Café after the reception at the Natural History Museum. Good food, wine and company :-)
Chat works!
Looks like chatbox is working now. Installed it yesterday, and have now tested it with nate from the walker.

Great job MATW
Hey way to go setting up a Drupal site for this conference.
MW2.0
here goes ... the 2.0 test for MW2006. We thought it was about time to see what we could do within the MW community to enable interaction, both during the Museums and the Web conference, and later on, too, if this sticks.
These tools are supposed to be quick and easy to use. So far, so good. The Drupal install began late in the day on March 14, and we're 'live' not quite so late in the day on March 15. not bad for a team of 1 (and some helpful people on the other end of email.)
fingers crossed the rest is as straightforward.

On choice and change
An eco-designer eyes clean tech - page 2 | Newsmakers | CNET News.com
William McDonough interviewed by c|net remarks that the Chinese are likely to take solar 'to scale' and master the economics of production. He anticipates the complaint: "It's the Chinese getting all the work again" and then wonders when Americans "will realize that for every job making a solar collector, there are four jobs deploying solar. So the Chinese will be giving us a huge gift when they drop the price of solar below the price of coal by going to scale because it will give us our own indigenous energy and massive job creation."
