Leen Breure studied medieval history and worked some years with the history department, before joining the humanities computing group of the University of Utrecht. Nowadays he is employed with the Department of Information and Computing Sciences. His is currently active in the fields of multimedia and data modeling and he participates in the design of a cultural heritage portal about the region of the river Vecht.
