Daniel Elias, ECHO project director at the Peabody Essex Museum, is a recent convert to the museum field after working in and owning contemporary art galleries for 20 years. Spoiled, by three years as host of the US version of Antiques Roadshow, for the restricted purlieus of the contemporary art gallery, he retrained through a Master’s Program in Museum Studies at Harvard University Extension Division, and enjoys his new life with the Peabody Essex Museum, the ECHO collaborative and his partners in Hawai’i, Alaska, Mississippi and Massachusetts.
