For over 25 years, Patrick has been a software developer and system architect on multimedia platforms, working on video game authoring systems, professional video editing and effects gear, animation authoring systems, semantic search technologies, and most recently focusing on bringing semantic intelligence to Internet-based communities. He co-founded several high-tech companies including Geoworks, Accom, Nervana, and Dimension X (acquired by Microsoft), and worked in research groups at Microsoft, Yahoo! and U.C. Berkeley. Patrick is an invited expert and collaborator with W3C working groups developing Internet multimedia standards, and has published and presented at conferences and research institutions worldwide.
