Franca Garzotto is Associate Professor of Information Engineering at the Department of Electronics and Information, Politecnico di Milano (Italy)

She has a Degree in Mathematics from the University of Padova (Italy) and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Her research focuses on design methods for interactive systems, usability engineering, user requirements, multichannel web interfaces, design patterns, and her main application domains are e-learning and e-culture. , She currently teaches two undergraduate courses and three graduate courses on interactive multimedia applications and human computer interaction at the Faculties of Information Engineering and of Industrial Design of Politecnico di Milano. Since 1988, she has participated in over twenty national and international research projects. She is currently involved in a number of activities on e-learning for primary education, working in close cooperation with school teachers and students. She is (co-)author of over 90 publications in international conference proceedings, journals, and book chapters.
